Labor participation to rise as pandemic eases: Report
With the pandemic situation continuing to improve, labor participation among Turkey's workforce is expected to increase, according to a report by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget.
Jobless rate down to 10.7 percent
Unemployment rate in Turkey dropped 0.5 percentage points in February to 10.7 percent, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on April 11.
The number of unemployed people - aged 15 years old and over - fell by 178,000 to 3.58 million in February compared to the previous month, TÜİK said.

Unemployment rate at 11.2 percent in December 2021
Unemployment in Turkey reached 11.2 percent in December 2021, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Feb. 10.
The reading was down 0.1 percentage point from November's revised data, TÜİK said.
The number of unemployed age 15 and over rose by 2,000 month-on-month in December 2021 to 3.8 million.

UN: Recovering Employment could take Years
The Covid-19 crisis continues to have a strong impact on employment around the world, the UN said, warning that it could take years for employment levels to reach pre-pandemic levels.
In a new study, the United Nations International Labor Organization (ILO) revises its previous forecast that the global labor market will recover almost completely this year.

Survey unemployment rate down slightly in July
Ljubljana – The ILO-compatible survey unemployment rate in Slovenia in July reached 4% and was thus 0.2 percentage points lower than in June and 1.3 percentage points lower than in July 2020. The Statistics Office estimates there were about 41,000 persons jobless in July.

Unemployment in Bulgaria Will Drop to 4 % by 2030 Says Document
By 2030, unemployment in Bulgaria will shrink to 4%, or 0.4 percentage points lower than in 2019, as well as to achieve employment at levels from 2019 in combination with the implementation of measures to increase the quality of the workforce with a focus on the acquisition of digital skills.

Unemployment in Turkey was 13.4 percent in February, up 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released on April 12.
The number of unemployed people aged 15 and over increased by 250,000 to 4.2 million in February compared to January, TÜİK said in a statement.

Unemployment total in December 2020 up 15.9% year-on-year
Ljubljana – The Covid-19 epidemic has left a mark on the Slovenian labour market as a total of 87,283 persons were registered as unemployed at the Employment Service at the end of December 2020, which is up 15.9% year on year, and 3.7% more than at the end of November last year.
