Russian mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin was notorious for unbridled and profane challenges to authority even before the attempted rebellion that he mounted Saturday. The reported agreement for him to go into exile in Belarus would place him in a country where such behavior is even less acceptable than in his homeland.

Looks like Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to involve Belarus in his war against Ukraine.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he had secured a pledge from Russia to provide comprehensive assistance if needed to ensure the security of his country in a phone call with President Vladimir Putin on Aug. 15.   

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will travel to Belarus on Thursday for a working visit, his cabinet announced on Tuesday.

Nikolic will meet with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, who will present him with the Order of Friendship of Nations.

BELGRADE - Business forum of Serbian and Belarus businessmen was organised in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce on Friday within the framework of the visit of the governmental and business delegation of Belarus to Serbia, with a view to intensifying the two countries' economic relations.
