Saudi says airspace ban for Qatar was to protect citizens

Saudi Arabia's aviation body said on June 13 that the closure of its airspace to flights from Qatar was within the kingdom's sovereign right to protect its citizens from any threat.

The comments were in reaction to remarks by Qatar Airways' chief executive that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were violating international law by shutting out Qatari flights.

Nikolic meets with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

Number of UAE Tourists Showing Interest in Bulgaria's Nature Increases

Number of tourists from the United Arab Emirates showing interest in Bulgaria's nature and mountain holidays, especially in the Rhodope region, has increased, BNR reported.

It became clear at Bulgaria's pavilion at the biggest international tourist exhibition in the Middle East-Arabian Travel Market held between April 24 and 27 in the city of Dubai, UAE.

New Zealand considering restricting laptops on flights from Middle East

New Zealand is considering restrictions on laptops and other large electronic devices on flights from some Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East, the country's prime minister said on April 24.

The new rules would follow similar measures introduced last month by the United States, Britain and Australia.

ABU DHABI - Serbia will continue the successful cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, which will last for a long time to come, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said in Abu Dhabi Thursday at the opening of the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival, organised by the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
