Nikolic: Successful Serbia-UAE cooperation to continue

ABU DHABI - Serbia will continue the successful cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, which will last for a long time to come, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said in Abu Dhabi Thursday at the opening of the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival, organised by the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.

Tsipras to visit Abu Dhabi and Jerusalem

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will visit Abu Dhabi from Friday until Sunday where he is expected to meet with French President Francois Hollande and Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

Tsipras will participate in a UNESCO conference for the protection of cultural heritage organized by the United Arab Emirates and France.

Serbia to borrow $1 billion from the United Arab Emirates

BELGRADE - The Serbian government intends to ask the Fund for the development of Abu Dhabi for a loan of about a 1 billion US dollars for budget support, with an interest rate of 2.25 percent per year.

The maturity period of the loan is 10 years, including a grace period of five years, while the repayment period is five years.

Bulgaria, Takes Steps to Boost Contacts with UAE in Economy, Trade

A draft agreement with the United Arab Emirates has been approved that allow for for economic and technical cooperation as a basis for future negotiations, the Bulgarian cabinet has said.

Under the document adopted Tuesday, the countries will work to promote the role of small and medium enterprises in economic relations.
