Rights groups accuse French police of brutality in pension protests

Criticism from human rights watchdogs mounted on Friday over the alleged brutality of French police in handling protests opposed to President Emmanuel Macron's pension reform.

French authorities arrested more than 450 people on Thursday in the most violent day of demonstrations since the start of the year against the bill to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.

Dozens of Injured Students and Police Officers in Mass Protests in New Delhi

Four public transport buses in the capital were set on fire, while others were seriously damaged in mass protests against the new citizenship act.

Police are using tear gas against students at Jamia Millia Islamia University in the southern part of the capital. More than 100 activists and 35 police officers, including some senior officers, were injured.

Police Trade Unions Will Protest Before Christmas

Police trade unions will protest a day before the Christmas holidays on December 22nd, according to the Bulgarian National Television. 

The protests will take place at border crossings in the country. The trade unions said they would not block the work of the border crossings. The protesters will gain demand pay rise.

Albanian Students Protest Over Education Law

Hundreds of students from different faculties of Tirana University accompanied by some of their lecturers on Wednesday staged a street protest against the new law on higher education.

The protest was organized by the "For the University Movement" activists, which attracted attention after they threw eggs at the Prime Minister's car one week ago.
