IMF and Ukraine reach $15.6 billion loan agreement

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on March 21 it has reached agreement with Ukrainian authorities on a loan package worth around $15.6 billion, to support the conflict-hit country's economic recovery.

The European country has been locked in a deadly war with Russian troops since they invaded the country in February last year.

IMF mission to begin visit to Serbia on Thursday

BELGRADE - An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission will begin a two-week visit to Serbia on Thursday.

The visit will start with a plenary meeting of IMF and National Bank of Serbia (NBS) delegations at the NBS on Thursday morning.

Until April 5, the Mission will be discussing a standby arrangement between Serbia and the IMF.

Mali meets with Ustyugova

BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali met with IMF Resident Representative in Serbia Yulia Ustyugova on Thursday to discuss a March 23-April 5 visit to Serbia by an IMF mission.

"Discussions about a standby agreement with the IMF, worth around 2.4 bln euros, are ahead of us during the Mission's visit," Mali wrote in a post on his Instagram profile.
