Croatia’s Anti-Graft Body Probes Late Zagreb Mayor’s Associates
In a new anti-corruption action that started with arrests on Wednesday, Croatian police and anti-corruption investigators have launched an investigation into associates of former Zagreb mayor Milan Bandic, including the director of Croatian Radiotelevision, HTV, Kazimir Bacic.
Hungary, Croatia PMs Pledge to Resolve Energy Dispute
On his first visit to Croatia in several years, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic had agreed on the need to resolve the thorny dispute over ownership of the Croatian energy company INA.
"I came to change this unnatural situation and return our relations to the normal track," Orban told the press conference on Monday.
Luka Modric Probe 'Sends Warning to Perjurers'
Croatian former justice minister Vesna Skare Ozbolt said on Tuesday that the investigation into Real Madrid football star Luka Modric, suspected of giving false testimony in court about alleged financial kickbacks in his 2008 transfer from Dinamo Zagreb, should be a warning to people considering committing perjury.

Croatia Indicts Two for Ukraine Jet Deal Bribery
The Croatian office for suppressing corruption and organised crime, USKOK, filed an indictment on Friday against two Croatian citizens over the controversial deal to repair and buy MiG military jets from the Ukrainian state-owned arms company Ukrspecexport.

Court Frees Former Croatian PM Sanader
Former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader left prison custody on Wednesday following a ruling by the Zagreb County Court that morning.
The county court decision came after Croatia's constitutional court terminated Sanader's custody on Tuesday, giving the county court until December 1 to pass a new decision. Sanader had been in prison since November 2012.

Dinamo Zagreb Bosses Remanded in Custody
Zagreb county court on Sunday refused the bail offer from Dinamo Zagreb football club executive president Zdravko Mamic and his brother, club manager Zoran Mamic, and remanded them both in custody prison for a month.

Dinamo Club Chiefs Face Charges in Croatia
Croatia's Office for suppression of corruption and organized crime, USKOK, on Wednesday raided the homes and office of the bosses of the Zagreb football club, Dinamo.
They said they suspect the club president, Zdravko Mamic, and manager Zoran Mamic of tax evasion, bribery and other unspecified criminal acts.

The Montenegrin Interior Minister on Wednesday said an ex-judge, Milivoje Katnic, would head up the country's new organised crime-busting department, creating conditions for the police and the prosecution to show better results in the fight against this scourge.

Montenegro to Name Special Organized Crime Prosecutor
By the end of month, Montenegro will appoint a chief special prosecutor for organized crime and corruption, war crimes and human trafficking - as part of a drive to prove that it is worthy of membership of the European Union.
Zagreb Mayor Probed Again For Corruption
Croatia's anti-organised crime department, USKOK, on Wednesday said that it had issued a new indictment against Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic for abuse of office.
The first indictment was sent back to USKOK by the Zagreb County Court in February. It wanted additional evidence to be supplied.
