Compensation scheme proposed for adverse effects of vaccination

Ljubljana – The government has proposed a compensation scheme for those who have suffered serious health damage as a result of a Covid-19 vaccine. “The introduction of liability for damages is key to maintaining confidence in the vaccines and ensuring the effective implementation of the national vaccination programme,” Health Minister Poklukar said on Friday.

Romania reports 16,411 adverse events following immunisation in over 4.5 million vaccinated persons

Chairman of Romania's National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) Valeriu Gheorghita said on Tuesday that as of June 14, 16,411 adverse events following immunisation (AEFI) were reported, which means an AEFI reporting rate of about 1.9 per 1,000 doses administered in more than 4.5 million vaccinated people, of which over 4.2 million fully vaccinated.

Nearly half unwilling to be vaccinated, survey finds

Ljubljana – Three-quarters of respondents in a survey supported by the pollster Valicon and the Covid-19 tracker community are somewhat worried about the epidemic, but almost half are still unwilling to be vaccinated. The main reason for people’s reluctance to be vaccinated is fear of possible side effects.
