Turkish scientists working on COVID-19 vaccine
A Turkish university has started to work on developing a native DNA vaccine for coronavirus, the institution's head said on March 27.
In a statement, Necdet Budak, head of Ege University in İzmir province, said that since a licensed vaccine for COVID-19 was not yet available, many countries initiated research on the subject.

US Launches First Clinical Tests on New Coronavirus Vaccine
The first participant in a clinical test for a vaccine against the new coronavirus will receive an experimental dose on Monday, according to a government official, AP National Institutes of Health funded the trial, which is being conducted at the Seattle Health Research Institute in Washington, DC.

Flu death toll reaches 52
The number of persons that have died until now because of the flu has reached 52, the National Centre for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases with the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) has announced on Wednesday. The last person to die of the flu is a woman aged 83 of Dambovita county, who was confirmed with type-A influenza.
