Velizar Enchev has a degree in journalism from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski." He was a correspondent of the Bulgarian National Television in former Yugoslavia in the period 1987 - 1993. He was Bulgaria's Ambassador to Croatia in the period 1997 - 2002. After that Enchev was TV host of a broadcast of SKAT TV.

Bulgaria Nationalists Urge Debate on Bringing Back Death Penalty

The nationalist coalition Patriotic Front (PF) will insist on a social debate on whether the capital punishment should be reintroduced, its co-leader Valeri Simeonov has said.

PF, which back the current Bulgarian government, has stressed the need for the country to overcome a looming "ethnic crisis" and tackle hundreds of cases of "robberies and beatings" on pensioners.
