The Balkan Capital of Roses - Kazanlak, located in the geographic center of Bulgaria and bearing a thousand-year history with the Thracian Kings Valley, is among the nominees for the third edition of the Balkan Tourism Industry Awards 2017. The ceremony will take place on 5.12. 2017 at 20:00 at Premier Best Western Hotel Sofia, VIP organizers announced.
Bulgaria's Culture Ministry Inspects Collapse in Thracian Tomb
Bulgaria's Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov ordered an urgent inspection in the tomb of the Thracian King Seuthes III after a collapse had been reported by the municipality of Kazanlak.
According to local Press TV, the Golyamata Kosmatka Mound, which contains the tomb, collapsed with nearly a meter and 5 cubic metres of soil had been removed from its corridor.
Bulgaria To Exhibit Thracian Treasures In Paris' Louvre
Bulgaria will exhibit Thracian treasures in the Louvre in Paris next year, reports the Standart daily.
The exhibition "Antique Thrace - The Odrysian Kingdom" will feature the Panagyurishte golden treasure and 325 exhibits - mostly golden and silver items from various treasures.
