The main opposition conservative New Democracy party decided to call off its leadership election that was due to take place on Sunday, November 22, due to technical problems that prevented voters from casting their ballots. The party’s electoral committee decided to postpone the voting procedure after the fiasco was noted.

A new poll conducted by e-voice company for “Eleftheros Typos news agency shows Vagelis Meimarakis and Apostolos Tzitzikostas will give a fight over the leadership of New Democracy on Sunday.
According to the poll, Vangelis Meimarakis slight leads with 33.54% followed by Apostolos Tzitzikostas with 30.2%, Kyriakos Mitsotakis 19.7% and Adonis Georgiadis 10.54%.
