TAIPED finally finds suitors for Afandou properties

Following the third sale announcement, state privatization fund TAIPED has managed to find five candidate buyers for the two plots up for grabs at Afandou on Rhodes.
SYRIZA refuses to defend MP over Xeros comment
SYRIZA distanced itself on Wednesday from comments earlier in the week by one of its MPs, Vangelis Diamantopoulos (photo), in which the lawmaker referred to convicted November 17 terrorist Savvas Xeros as having engaged in an armed struggle.
Voters should judge Mr Diamantopoulos, said SYRIZA spokesman Panos Skourletis.
