According to Spitogatos data, average asking prices for residential sales prices across Greece increased by 6.8% in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, while average asking prices for rental properties increased by 7.6%.

One person was lightly injured in a three car pile-up that occurred just before midnight Wednesday in Limanakia, a seaside area of Vouliagmeni, southern Athens.

The driver of a car traveling from Varkiza to Athens lost control of the vehicle, hit another car, which then collided with a third. 

The area of Limanakia is known for unofficial drag racing late at night. 

Police at the weekend were investigating the causes of a fire that engulfed a city bus on Saturday morning on Poseidonos Avenue in Vouliagmeni, southern Athens. 

According to reports, the fire on line 122 completely destroyed the bus and reached the driver's seat.

There were five people on board but all, including the driver, got off in time.

The Regional Authority of Attica is implementing an important intervention to ensure the smooth circulation of vehicles and prevent traffic accidents at the points of reduced road safety on the Athens-Sounio coastal avenue.

A 13-month-old girl died in a blaze that broke out early Thursday morning in an apartment in the seaside suburb of Varkiza, southwestern Attica.

The baby girl was discovered by firemen who entered the third-floor apartment on Eridos Street after being alerted to the blaze by local residents.

She was immediately transferred to hospital where doctors confirmed her death.
