The Attacker of the Pirogov Nurse was Found Dead

The 18-year-old patient who attacked a nurse at Pirogov hospital on Friday night is found dead, reports sega. 

Attorney Chief Prosecutor spokesperson Rumyana Arnaudova pointed out to FOCUS that this is probably the same person who was found dead on Saturday.

The Interior Ministry also said that this version was being investigated, but the dead is still not recognized.

Subway Traffic in the Capital was Temporarily Suspended due to a Technical Problem

The traffic was temporarily suspended in a section of the first metro line in Sofia, around 3 pm, reported bTV. 

The metro trains did not move in the stretch from "Vasil Levski" stadium to the Airport and to the Business Park.

The reason was a technical problem of one of the trains, which is in the test period, announced from Sofia Municipality.

Bulgarian Film Won an International Prize at Sarajevo Film Festival

The new film directed by Stefan Komandarev "Directions" won its first international prize at the Sarajevo Film Festivalon 18th of August. It won the Jury Special Prize for the entire cast of the film for outstanding artistic achievement. Irini Jambonas and Assen Blatechki received the award on behalf of all the actors, reported BNT. 

40 Years from the First Satellite Signal from Bulgaria to Space

August 17 this year makes 40 years since the launch of the first satellite-to-space signal in Bulgaria. The occasion was the opening of the international "Universiada 77" on August 17, 1977. The ceremony is transmitted directly to the cosmos from the newly-built 30 km from Sofia station, then called Shipka Earth Space Station, now called "Plan".

Technical Problem Blocked Part of Sofia Subway

A technical problem with the subway trains in the capital blocked the traffic between the stations ''Vasil Levski'' and ''Sofia University - St. Kliment Ohridski'' this morning, the press center of the Sofia Municipality announced, quoted by bTV. 

The movement was temporarily carried on another train in both directions.
