New Covid Restrictions in Greece

Following up on Monday's announcement by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias reiterated Tuesday that the vaccination of all staff at private and public nursing homes and units for the disabled is mandatory and that all must get at least the first dose of the vaccine by August 16.

Greece Gradually Lifts Lockdown, Retail Shops Reopened

After months of lockdown, retail shops in Greece will open on Monday, April 5, Deputy Minister for Civil Protection Nikos Chardalias announced on Wednesday.

Customers — with appointments — will be permitted to do their shopping under extremely strict anti-virus measures, Chardalias stated. Large super-stores and malls will not be open at all, however.
