Venice Biennale

The Venice Biennale has awarded the 2024 Golden Lions for Lifetime Achievement to Turkish artist Nil Yalter and Brazilian Anna Maria Maiolino.

The artists, who will be making their debuts at the Biennale, will be presented with the awards at a ceremony during the event's opening on April 20 next year.

An installation by the influential artist Gülsün Karamustafa will be presented at the Türkiye Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, to be held between April 20 and Nov. 24, 2024.

For the first time in the 127-year history of the Venice Biennale, the world's oldest and most important contemporary art fair features a majority of female and gender non-conforming artists, under the curatorial direction of Cecilia Alemani.

Venice – The Slovenian pavilion was launched online at the 17th architectural exhibition La Biennale di Venezia on Friday. The Slovenian project focuses on the Yugoslav-era community centres as a type of social infrastructure, highlighting the role of architecture in building a sense of community.

The winner of the contest of the Ministry of Culture for Bulgarian participation in the 58th edition of the International Art Exhibition - Venice Biennale is the installation "How We Live" with curator Vera Mlechevska and authors Radka Bukova and Lazar Lyutakov.

"We, Elsewhere," a new work by İnci Eviner, will be presented in Turkey's pavilion at the 58th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia to be held from May 11 to Nov. 24.
