Hungary's anti-immigration populist premier Viktor Orban was set for a third straight term on April 9 after a crushing election victory, delighting other nationalists but likely causing unease in some other EU members.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov congratulated his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban on the victory of his party, FIDESZ in the parliamentary elections yesterday, the press service of the Council of Ministers announced yesterday.

BUDAPEST, Hungary (Reuters) - Prime Minister Viktor Orban won a third straight term in power in Sunday elections after his anti-immigration campaign message secured a strong majority for his party in parliament, granting him two-thirds of seats based on preliminary results.

"Dear friend, receive my cordial congratulations on the victory in parliamentary elections. Once again voters in Hungary chose a true leader, who has demonstrated his dedication to work, and perseveres in giving them a peaceful and prosperous future," Vucic said.

A German far-right activist was arrested in Hungary on March 28 on suspicion of illegally selling weapons through a website that urged citizens to defend themselves against migrants, Berlin prosecutors said.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán described migration as a threat to the whole of Europe and warned that "uncontrolled immigration must be stopped."
