LGBT Activists March with Politicians for Belgrade Pride

The third Belgrade Pride Parade, which took place under the slogan "Love changes the world", was held on Sunday with several hundred LGBT rights supporters, alongside Serbian politicians, participating in the march through the centre of the Serbian capital.

The group was protected by some 5,000 police officers who had the city centre in lockdown to ensure participants' safety.

Over 180 terrorist suspects linked to terror cells in Germany

German security and intelligence forces are conducting nationwide operations to detect terrorist cells, following the revelations that a jihadist group from Dusseldorf was planning large scale attacks across Germany. According to new information, German authorities suspect over 180 people are linked to the Islamic State (IS) and other jihadist groups.

Gaziantep bomber identified as ISIL militant: Reports

The suicide bomber who killed two police officers and wounded 22, including civilians, on May 1 in the southeastern province of Gaziantep has been identified as Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militant ?.G., daily Habertürk has reported. 

Interior Minister Efkan Ala said on May 2 that 50 ISIL members suspects were detained for connections to the attack.

Corriere della Sera: Islamic State claims responsibility for Brussels terrorist attacks

A few hours after the deadly attacks in the heart of Europe, Islamic State reportedly has claimed responsibility for the explosions in Brussels.

According to Italian news agency Agi and Corriere della Sera, IS fighters claim that their organization is behind the terrorist attacks without, though, giving further details.

Bosnia Gays Demand Probe Into Attack on Club

The LGBT community in Sarajevo has called on the Bosnian authorities to punish the perpetrators of an attack last Friday on the Kino Kriterion, one of the few LGBT-friendly clubs in the capital.

"Authorities need to prosecute this homophobic attack as a proper hate crime," Emina Bosnjak, from the Sarajevo Open Center, which promotes LGBT rights in Bosnia, told BIRN on Monday.
