No deportation for father who reported sexual abuse of child
Police said on Thursday that a man who informed the authorities that his child had been sexually abused on the island of Nisyros will not be deported, after it was revealed that he had been banned from entering into the country.
Instead, the man, whose nationality has not been revealed, was given 25 days "to further arrange his outstanding matters," police said in a press release.
Woman attempts suicide after attack from husband
A 36-year-old woman in the town of Aigio, western Greece, tried to commit suicide by taking an unknown number of pills after she was attacked by her husband.
The 39-year-old husband was arrested and is facing charges of domestic violence.
Police was alerted to the suicide attempt by the local hospital where she was transferred for treatment.

Police definition of domestic violence does not include slaps and bruises
Scratches, slaps and bruises on arms and legs do not legally fall into the category of domestic abuse unless they are the result of ongoing behavior, according to the police's current manual on domestic violence.
They don’t care about us
