Anti-bullying platform receives 41 complaints in less than a week, minister says
An online platform established to address violence and bullying in Greek schools has already received 41 complaints since its launch less than one week ago, Education Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis said on Monday.
Fire Service reports 67 blazes in forest and agricultural areas
In what could be a foretaste of the summer, the Fire Service said on Thursday that a total of 67 blazes in forest and agricultural areas occurred in a 24-hour period between Wednesday and Thursday.
Of these, the Fire Service said 56 were dealt with immediately, at their initial stage, while firefighters were tackling 11 more.
On adolescent violence
School bullying and, more broadly, adolescent violence are social problems that cannot be solved by administrative decisions alone.
However, the state's mobilization is necessary to begin to systematically record and methodically deal with the problem. The measures announced by the government are a good start.

The Tempe rail tragedy has inflicted a deep injury on Greek society. The extent and intensity of the public's anger is such that it cannot be placated with legal arguments and parliamentary maneuvers.
On the other hand, there is no doubt that the issue is being exploited politically by certain circles and that it is breeding all sorts of conspiracy theories.

Fewer thugs, more violence, student survey indicates
A nationwide survey points to a greater intensity in violent conflicts among teenagers and an increase in digital bullying.
The 2022 survey of 6,250 students aged 11, 13 and 15 by the Costas Stefanis Research University Institute of Mental Health, Neurosciences and Precision Medicine showed that one in three (30.7%) had been involved in a violent incident in the past year.
Woman arrested in Thessaloniki for stabbing partner
A 34-year-old woman was arrested in Thessaloniki on Tuesday for stabbing her 35-year-old partner with a knife during a fight.
The attack took place at the couple's home in the district of Kordelio when the woman stabbed him in the abdomen when he tried to take away the knife.
