Prof. Kantardzhiev: There Is No Flu in Bulgaria So Far

So far, there is no flu in Bulgaria. Only 42 cases have been proven in Europe. That's what Prof . Todor Kantardzhiev said for the morning program of NOVA TV.

He added that in January we will already have the first Bulgarians vaccinated against COVID-19.

Prof. Kantardzhiev clarified that no vaccines have come to our country as of yet.

"Rich countries bought 53% of vaccines in advance"; when will mass vaccination begin?

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that COVID-19 pandemic has undermined two basic principles of the modern world to the core: the principle of human rights and their respect and the principle of equality between individuals and between countries.

He also states for the news of TV Prva that the hospital in Batajnica is functioning excellently, that there are over 450 patients there and that they have been saving hundreds of lives there since Friday.

"We'll get the vaccine against COVID-19 in the same time as EU members"

"Our numbers are still not falling, but we are still keeping health care and protection under control as much as possible. I am grateful to the doctors," says Vui.
"Exactly when I look at the numbers, in Kraljevo it is as if everyone had been infected with COVID. The same goes for Trstenik," he added.

The campaign, he stressed, concerns all of society.

Scientist: The Vaccine Will Save Many Lives, but We Have to Follow The Measures for 1-2 Years

"All experts in the world say emphatically: The vaccine is a great discovery, it will save many lives. However until we clarify for 1-2 years the nature of this immunity that it creates, we must continue to follow the measures - wearing masks, hand washing, avoiding social contact." This is the opinion of Acad. Petrunov from the Bulgarian Academy of Science.
