Saudi closes emergency ward after spike in MERS virus cases
A Saudi medical official says authorities have temporarily closed an emergency ward in one of the kingdom's largest hospitals after at least 46 people, including hospital staff, contracted the potentially fatal Middle East respiratory syndrome, also known as MERS.
Greek Drug agency bans exports to EU temporarily
Greece’s national drug agency (EOF) announced on Wednesday it would temporary ban the export of dozens of pharmaceuticals to the EU and third countries in an effort to avert a possible shortage caused by capital controls imposed on Greeks banks for the past 3 weeks. The agency said a ban on 73 drugs was an emergency measure to protect public health.
