Nurses arrested over vaccine card scam
Acting on a tipoff, units from the department of financial crimes launched an operation in Istanbul, detaining six people, including three nurses, over a vaccine cards fraud, private broadcaster CNN Türk has reported.

Eleven COVID-19 deaths in Romania in last 24 hours
Another eleven Romanians infected with SARS-CoV-2 are reported dead in the last 24 hours, according to data released on Sunday by the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force. No previously unaccounted deaths were reported.

Our social co-existence presupposes at least a minimum participation in the affairs of society and that the vast majority of citizens abide by basic rules.
This is a basic, age-old principle. Never has a society achieved progress with anarchy and irrationalism and without adopting a minimum of rules regarding the social behaviour of its members.

Turkey begins Phase 3 trials of homegrown COVID vaccine
Turkey began administering its national coronavirus vaccine candidate to volunteers on Aug. 25 in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri as part of Phase 3 studies.

Expected decline in virus cases not happening, warns minister
Expectations for a decline in COVID-19 cases did not materialize over the weekend, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said, repeating calls for the public to get vaccinated against the virus.
On Aug. 21 and Aug. 22, Turkey registered 19,351 and 18,622 cases respectively, a slight decline from the previous days last week.
