United Kingdom declares coronavirus a "serious and imminent threat to public health"
The death toll from the new infection in Wuhan has recently reached 908, with over 40.000 cases confirmed around the world. The number of those who contracted coronavirus in the United Kingdom had grown to eight.
According to previous reports, at least four UK nationals were infected after spending time at a ski resort in France.

Coronavirus: Latest suspected case tests negative in Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki health officials say testing has cleared another possible case of coronavirus.
The man, who had travelled to China in December, had been admitted to the northern port city's Ahepa hospital with symptoms resembling those of the Wuhan virus. A sample of his DNA had been sent to the Pasteur Institute.
Death toll in China's coronavirus outbreak rises to 812
The death toll in China from the novel coronavirus outbreak climbed to 812, the country's National Health Commission (NHC) said on Feb. 9
Authorities said 37,198 confirmed cases have been reported and 89 people have died and more than 2,600 new cases have been detected in the last 24 hours.
Push for flu vaccinations
Amid a spike in serious flu cases, Greece's National Health Organization (EODY) has underlined the importance of people getting the flu vaccine.
The warning comes despite the revelation that, of the serious flu cases recorded to date, one in three had been vaccinated. The death toll from the flu virus since October rose to 38 last week, according to EODY.

An American became the first confirmed non-Chinese victim of the new coronavirus on Feb. 8 while a Japanese man also died with symptoms consistent with the disease, as the epidemic looked set to pass the death toll from the SARS pandemic.
Turkey limits Chinese imports amid coronavirus outbreak
Turkey will suspend imports from China of all kinds of animal products as new measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Feb. 7.
Koca said all imports of living and non-living animals, animal and waste products would be halted temporarily.
