Coronavirus uptick persisting

Ljubljana – Slovenia logged 2,528 daily coronavirus cases on Tuesday, 708 more than a week ago but down significantly on Monday’s six-month record of 4,530. Four patients with Covid-19 died. Hospital care due to Covid-19 was needed for 73 people, including six at intensive units, respectively down by five and one on the day before, data released by the Health Ministry shows.

Health minister tests positive for COVID-19

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19, in a latest social media post.

Koca said he tested positive for coronavirus five days ago and affirmed that he will continue to work on the recent regulation on health workers' rights via online meetings.

"Soon, I will be among my friends," the minister said.

2,280 new coronavirus cases recorded in Slovenia on Monday

Ljubljana – A total of 2,280 new daily coronavirus cases were detected in Slovenia on Monday. Three people died, the Health Ministry said on Twitter. 80 patients were at regular hospital wards because of Covid-19 on Monday and 12 were in intensive care. In total, 227 patients with a confirmed infection were in hospital, which is 12 fewer than on Sunday.

COVID-19 in Bulgaria: 1141 New Cases in the Last 24 hours

One thousand and forty-one new cases of coronavirus were registered in the last 24 hours in Bulgaria. 12 confirmed infected have died, according to data from the Unified Information Portal.

The figures are slightly higher than a week ago. Last Saturday, 1,024 new cases of coronavirus and 10 deaths were registered in our country.
