The European Commission has proposed to the European Parliament and EU governments to scrap visa requirements for Turkish citizens provided that Turkey will fulfil the outstanding benchmarks of its Visa Liberalisation Roadmap.

The Readmission Agreement between Turkey and the EU entered into force on October 1.

The Foreign Ministry has refuted media reports suggesting that thousands of foreign tourists had not been allowed to enter Turkey with e-visas at Dalaman Airport and Milas-Bodrum Airport, and that some of them had even been sent back to their home countries.
