Beşiktaş comeback to beat Galatasaray in derby

Beşiktaş completed a 2-1 comeback to topple city rivals Galatasaray on Oct 25's Istanbul derby in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Galatasaray's Romanian midfielder Alexandru Cicaldau scored the opener from outside the area in the 35th minute to give the 1-0 lead to the visitors at Vodafone Park.

But only four minutes later, Beşiktaş leveled the match.

Beşiktaş beats Çaykur Rizespor to kick off Süper Lig with victory

Defending champions Beşiktaş started the 2021-2022 Turkish Süper Lig season on Aug. 13 with a 3-0 win over Çaykur Rizespor.

Beşiktaş took control of the match at the beginning, with Georges-Kevin Nkoudou scoring the early opener in the 9th minute, assisted by Kenan Karaman at Vodafone Park.

2023 UEFA Champions League final to be in Istanbul: Source

Istanbul will host the 2023 UEFA Champions League final as Turkey will mark the centenary of the republic's foundation in that year, Anadolu Agency learned on May 14.

A source in the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), who asked not to be named, said an official announcement in this regard is expected soon.
