Mtel will have a new name, at the request of its owner, Telekom Austria Group. The company announces that it is changing its brand strategy and will introduce a unified policy for all the markets it is in.
This was announced in an official press release of the Austrian telecom.

Beşiktaş's Vodafone Park to host UEFA Super Cup in 2019
Istanbul giant Beşiktaş's home stadium Vodafone Park will host UEFA Super Cup match in 2019.
The 43,000-capacity Vodafone Park by the Bosphorus was opened in April 2016 on the plot of Beşiktaş's former İnönü Stadium.
Cyta calls for suitors for its Greek arm
Cyprus's telecoms authority (Cyta) announced on Tuesday the rapid sale of its subsidiary in Greece, Cyta Hellas, inviting any parties interested in acquiring 100 percent of the company to come forward by September 27. Although the deadline might change, it points to the parent company's eagerness to proceed quickly.

Türk Telekom's Avea, Vodafone Turkey win tender to build mobile communications infrastructure
Türk Telekom has said its Avea unit and Vodafone Telekomunikasyon A.Ş. have together won a Turkish tender to provide and operate mobile communications infrastructure in areas where there is currently none.
Vodafone tests Turkey's domestic 4.5G base station
Vodafone tested Turkish 4.5G-compatible domestic base station, dubbed ULAK, the company has said.
According to a statement by the company on April 14, Vodafone Turkey's deputy CEO Hasan Süel and Besiktaş Chairman Fikret Orman had a phone call ahead of the Europa League quarter final match between Beşiktaş and French club Olympique Lyon.

Vip Mobile has joined the project Battle for Knowledge with a donation of 30,000 euros - the largest donation so far of a company to the campaign.

Nicosia to persist with Cyta privatization effort
Cyprus will try again to push through the sale of a minority stake in state telecommunications company Cyta, Finance Minister Harris Georgiades said on Monday.
"We are finding it difficult [to privatize Cyta]..." Georgiades said at an event at the London School of Economics. "But we will have another go."

Turkcell, Vodafone among top five companies awarded for supporting Syrian refugees
Turkcell, Turkey's biggest mobile operator, and Vodafone, one of top three mobile operators active in Turkey, were honored for their humanitarian work in supporting Syrian refugees at a major sector conference late on Feb. 26.
The award came at the GSM Association's (GSMA) Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
