Etna Volcano WAKES UP!

Two fractures opened at the base of the South-East crater and on the north-eastern flank of the New South-East crater at about 3am local time (2am BST). The lava flows were accompanied by a Strombolian activity from the main craters. However nearby Catania airport remains open, reported express.co.uk.

This landslide created a tsunami that struck coastal regions in Java and Sumatra, killing at least 426 people and injuring 7,202, reported newsweek.com

Guatemala's Fuego Volcano Eruption Forces 4,000 to Evacuate

More than 4,000 people living in communities around the Fuego volcano in the Guatemalan Escuintla Department were forced to evacuate their homes late on Sunday as the volcano erupted for a second time this year, reported Aljazeera. 

"It was tremendous, we could not sleep," said Victor Hernandez, a 38-year old farmer and ranch worker from the village of El Rancho, El Rodeo, Escuintla.

Lava Bomb Hits Hawaiian Tour Boat Near Kilauea Volcano

A Hawaiian tour boat was hit by a lava bomb—lava. bomb.—on Monday morning, and at least 22 passengers were injured after at least one hunk of lava smashed a hole in the vessel's roof, according to Hawaii's Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR). Most passengers had minor burns and one woman suffered a broken leg, according to the state agency.

The Number of Victims in Guatemala Reached 99 People

The number of victims after the eruption of the Fuego volcano in Guatemala reached 99 people, reports bgnes.

Earlier, it was clear that only a few dozen people were missing in this area, but total number reached more than 190 people. The impact of the natural disaster affected more than 1.7 million people,  a three-day national mourning was declared in connection with the tragedy.
