Sleeping supervolcano under America ‘could erupt more quickly than we thought’

The Yellowstone supervolcano under America could erupt with terrifying power – expelling up to 250 cubic miles of volcanic rock and ash at once.

The eruption could blanket large areas of America in ash – and possibly plunge Earth into a ‘volcanic winter’.

Volcano in Japan is Reason for Concern

The Shinmoe volcano in southwest Japan erupted for the first time in six years, the country's national meteorological service said.

The seismic activity in the region of Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures began at the end of last month. The first eruptions in six years took place early Wednesday morning - the volcano ejected a pillar of ash at a height of 300 meters.

Bali volcano: Indonesia Fears Imminent Mt Agung Eruption

Indonesia has warned that the active volcano on the tourist island of Bali is entering a "critical phase", amid fears of an imminent eruption, reported BBC. 

Hundreds of tremors were recorded on Monday at Mount Agung, in an increase of volcanic activity.

But officials also stressed they could not predict when it might erupt.

A strong undersea earthquake has struck off the coast of holiday hotspot, Bali.
The 5.7 magnitude quake was detected northeast of Kemeduran, which is northwest of Bali, on Thursday, the US Geological Survey has confirmed. With a magnitude of almost 6, the earthquake is classified as moderate to strong. It was measured at a depth of 588km.

Another severe solar eruption with mark of X8,2 was recorded on Sunday evening. Reports Chronicle. 

The X-ray Astronomy Laboratory of the Physics Institute "P. N. Lebedev "published a schedule of solar activity, according to which the eruption was from 18.35 am to 19.31 am on Sunday Moscow time. The peak of activity was at 19.06.
