Serbia Arrests Eight Foreigners On Suspicion Of Spying

Serbia has arrested eight foreign citizens, including two Americans and two Ukrainians, on suspicion that they tried to photograph and enter military facilities without authorization, officials said.

State-run RTS TV said the U.S. and Ukrainian citizens allegedly tried to take shots of the military intelligence headquarters in downtown Belgrade with a drone.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) are making progress in terms of equipment and technology as new MiG jets have been acquired and acquisition of new helicopters will follow, while work on development of anti-aircraft defence is already under way, Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Friday.

Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin says the process of stopping "Greater Albania" (Albanian nationalist expansionist project) must begin in Kosovo and Metohija.

Speaking at a round table dedicated to Serbia's "internal dialogue on Kosovo," Vulin said that his country should not allow "Greater Albania" to be created on its borders, and let others draw those borders.

According to the Serbian government, the two officials "noted that there is a mutual positive impulse for further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries."

During his meeting, Vulin expressed his gratitude for Cuba's support to Serbia's fight to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
