Ministry recycles 66,000 tons of paper from old textbooks in 5 years
Within the scope of the "Zero Waste Project," the Education Ministry has announced that 66,416 tons of paper has been recycled and 167.7 million Turkish Liras ($5.25 million) in revenue generated to contribute to the national economy by recycling free textbooks which have been distributed every year.

Zero Waste Foundation established, first lady announces

Facilities fined over $21 mln for pollution: Ministry
Following environmental inspections carried out by the Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Ministry in the first nine months of this year, 3,165 facilities were fined over 385 million Turkish Liras ($21 million), while 285 of them were closed for polluting the environment.
Over 150,000 tons of marine litter collected
Some 154 thousand tons of waste has been collected from the seas since 2019 and demolished within the scope the "Zero Waste Blue" project prepared by the Environment, Urbanization and the Climate Change Ministry.

Industrial production continues to grow
Türkiye's industrial production increased by 9.1 percent in May from a year ago, after rising 10.8 percent in the previous month, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) showed yesterday.
On a seasonally and calendar adjusted basis, the country's industrial output rose 0.5 percent in the month from April, TÜİK said.
