Two people died and eight were injured July 20 after being trapped inside the Saklıkent Canyon in the southwestern province of MuÄla due to intense flooding, with the mayor describing the deaths as âfate.â
Law on flood damage repair passed
BELGRADE - Serbian MPs passed a law on flood damage repair in Serbia with a majority of votes on Friday.
The law will come into force a day after it is published in the Official Gazette, and stop being valid after one year.

Cruise visitors set to rise by 15 pct in 2015

Minister Eroğlu reassures Istanbul will not have more water shortages
Forestry and Waterworks Minister Veysel EroÄlu assured that there will not be more water shortages in Istanbul, saying although there was lack of rain for about five months, it has been raining enough recently. He added that there are many streams that supply Istanbulâs water.
Oil trade revives as Brent price climbs
Oil traders have the greatest incentive in four years to store crude at sea and sell it as prices rise, prompting speculation about a revival in the trade once used by companies including BP Plc and Citigroup Inc.
Brent for September traded at $107.60 a barrel at 2.42 p.m. on Wednesday, $1.16 more than the same grade for August, according to the ICE Futures Europe exchange.

Government proposes law on flood damage repair
BELGRADE - The Serbian government has proposed for adoption a law on removing the consequences of the recent floods, which will be discussed urgently by the parliament on Tuesday, so the work on remapiring the damage in the flood-hit areas could start as soon as possible.
