BELGRADE -- The catastrophic floods in Serbia damaged around 3,700 km of roads, mostly in the western and central regions of the country.
This data was revealed on Friday by the state secretary at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Miodrag Poledica.

Ministry of Finance reveals latest donations figures
BELGRADE -- A Serbian government account set up to collect donations for the flood affected areas has, as of 18:00 CET on Thursday, received a total of RSD 967.64 million.
This amounts to about EUR 8.35 million.
Danger of Flooding Puts Belgrade on Alert
Nikola Nikodijevic, head of the Belgrade assembly, said the situation in the capital was stable and under control.
"A surge on the Danube river in Belgrade is expected in the next 48 hours, but that should not break the levees placed along the banks in Zemun," he said, referring to the northern Belgrade municipality.

Serbia PM: Damage Caused by Floods to Exceed 0.6% of GDP
Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said that the floods have caused damage worth 0.64% of GDP.
Speaking Thursday in Belgrade at a meeting of international donors, he argued that the sector of energy and agriculture had been hardest hit, adding that the damage estimate could even reach EUR 1 B.

Clean-up Starts in Flood-Sticken Obrenovac
A clean-up of the flood-stricken town of Obrenovac started on Thursday, although local residents have been told not to return to their homes just yet.
