14-meter fin whale washes ashore in Mediterranean province
A 14-meter-long fin whale, which has washed up on the shore of the southern province of Mersin, was moved on to the shore after a four-hour operation on May 13.
The dead body of the whale was transferred to Mersin University. Its skeleton will be exhibited in the city's Sea Museum.
Whale Stuck in London's Themes River Freed
The health of a whale that was freed after getting stuck in London's River Thames was failing on Monday, with rescuers reporting the sea mammal was "not really going anywhere" and could be euthanised.
The small Minke whale, believed to be up to 4 metres long, was first seen at Richmond Lock Bridge, south-west London, late on Sunday.

Carcass of 12-meter-long fin whale washes ashore
A carcass of a 12-meter-long dead fin whale has been found washed ashore in southern Turkey.
The lifeless body of the sea creature was first discovered by locals in Denizciler town of Hatay's İskenderun district.

Dead whale found floating off Piraeus
The body of a whale was found floating more than two nautical miles off the coast of Piraeus on Wednesday afternoon, the local port authority said.
The authority notified the competent service of the Municipality of Piraeus which towed the body to the beach of Freattida, a district in the southeastern part of Piraeus.
The carcass was then transported to a landfill for burial.
