Wheat yields lower than last year, but enough for exports
BELGRADE - One of the longest wheat harvests ever taking place in Serbia is 99 percent complete after being interrupted by rain a number of times, Director of the Serbia Grains Association Vukosav Sakovic told Tanjug Thursday.
Bad weather has caused grain quality to be uneven, but we will have enough wheat for both domestic needs and exports, Sakovic said.
Bulgarian Wheat to Be Exported as Romanian
A significant part of this year's Bulgarian wheat is expected to be exported through Romania.
The reason is that Romania won a wheat supply auction in Egypt and Bulgaria couldn't participate in it.
