"Anti-women violence - Europe's top human rights violation"
UN's Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) in Serbia has joined the global campaign - "16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence."
To promote awareness of this, an "SOS telephone, an artistic installation," has been placed in the central square of the Serbian state, the capital city's Republic Square.
Istanbul bar trains 4,000 lawyers to specialize in cases of violence against women
The Istanbul Bar Association has trained 4,000 lawyers to specialize in cases related to violence against women to help provide support for women who are victims of violence.
"A total of 4,000 lawyers have become specialized in how to deal with women who were subjected to violence," Istanbul Bar Head Mehmet Durakoğlu told Anadolu Agency.

UN women's rights committee reviews status of women in Turkey
