Concern as 12 workers killed in work-related accidents in 23 days
Concerns have been expressed at the safety of working conditions in Greece, as 12 workers were killed in work-related accidents in the last 23 days.
In a statement, the Greek Federation of Technical Enterprises Workers' Associations said that 60 workers have now been killed and 60 workers injured in workplace-related incidents this year.

In 2014, in which 301 people were killed in the huge mine disaster in Soma, 1,497 people were killed at work, according to the data. In 2013, 1,315 people died in occupational incidents.

CHP wants parliamentary examination on work accidents
The Republican People's Party (CHP) submitted a motion to the parliament on Aug. 10 for a detailed report on the institutional, administrative, legal and economic factors of work accidents in order to establish a holistic approach to prevent such incidents.
Workplace accidents skyrocketing in Turkey
The number of workplace accidents skyrocketed in 2013 by 291 percent from the previous year to 191,389, according to the Mechanical Engineers Unit of Turkey's Chamber of Architects and Engineers' (TMMOB) latest work safety report, which is issued every two years.

118 Workplace Deaths, 2807 Occupational Injuries Registered in Bulgaria in 2014
In 2014 a total of 118 workplace deaths were registered and 2807 people were injured in occupational accidents in Bulgaria, according to data provided by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB).
CITUB published statistics Monday to mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, April 28, according to dnevnik.bg.
