WHO: Mortality from Covid-19 Around the World Dropped to Lowest Level in Nearly a Year

The number of weekly coronavirus deaths worldwide continues to decline and is now at its lowest level in nearly a year. This was announced on Wednesday at a briefing in Geneva by the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Gebreyesus, quoted by TASS.

Confusion and complacency in addressing COVID-19 means the pandemic is a long way from over, but it can be brought under control in months with proven public health measures, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Monday.

"We too want to see societies and economies reopening, and travel and trade resuming," Tedros told a news briefing.
