After World War II, France, the United Kingdom, the United States and the Soviet Union occupy Germany and its capital, Berlin. When the Soviet Union imposed the Berlin blockade in 1948, the great tensions between the Western allies and the USSR came to light.
Impression seals to illuminate Hittite administration
The excavations that have been carried out in Karkamış, one of the world's most important ancient cities, lying along the borders of Turkey and Syria, have unearthed 250 kiln bullae (impression seals), for the first time this year. The bullae were used by top state officials in the Hittite Empire.
More than 850,000 refugees in Turkey to get debit cards for aid
More than 850,000 refugees will receive special debit cards by August financed by the European Union and implemented by the Turkish Red Crescent, according to European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) in Turkey.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency on Saturday, ECHO head Jane Lewis said the target was to access over a million refugees by September.
UN say leaders need to reflect on the situation created

European Human Rights Court decision doesn't apply to Serbia
European Court of Human Rights' decision that EU states can return migrants to those EU countries which they originally entered does not apply to Serbia.
Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin said this on Thursday, observing that this was the case because Serbia is not an EU member.

Greek credit contracts 1.6 pct year-on-year in May, central bank says
Total credit in Greece's banking system contracted 1.6 percent year-on-year in May after a 1.6 percent decline in the previous month, Bank of Greece data showed on Monday.
Credit extended to the government fell 5 percent after decreasing by 5.4 percent in April, the central bank said.
Lending to businesses and households declined 1 percent after a 0.9 percent drop in April.
