Serbian Army General Staff Chief Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic says Serbia is currently not facing military threats, while "the security situation" is stable.

However, he added, threats do exist - through "pronounced extremism, and because of the migrant crisis."

EC President: English language is "losing importance"

European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker has said that "English is losing importance in Europe."

He was speaking in Florence, Italy, "amid tensions with the UK government over looming Brexit negotiations," BBC is reporting.

EU: Austria calls for another extension to border controls

Austrian ministers are pushing for the EU to grant them an extension to emergency border controls, introduced in 2015, to help control the flow of asylum seekers into their country.

Border controls, traditionally abolished within the Schengen zone, were reintroduced by Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and non-EU member Norway during the height of the migrant crisis in 2015.
