Bulgaria to Host Second International Congress on World Civilisations and Historic Routes

Sofia. The government has approved a draft agreement between the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism and the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) on the second edition of the International Congress of World Civilisations and Historic Routes, said the government press office.

A wonderful short film about Greece in all four seasons won the top prize in the European category of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation’s (UNWTO) international video competition. The film was submitted by the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) and was directed by Andonis Theocharis Kioukas.

Vucic, Rifai discuss Serbia's tourism potential

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Secretary-General Taleb Rifai on Thursday to discuss Serbia's tourism potential and promotion of the country as a tourist destination.

The number of foreign tourists has risen by 20 pct over the past year, which is a new opportunity to promote Serbia as a tourist destination, Vucic said.

UN World Tourism Organization chief visiting Serbia

UN World Tourism Organization Secretary General Taleb Rifai, who is visiting Serbia, was on Wednesday received by Acting PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

According to the Serbian government, during the meeting, Rifai and Dacic "pointed out today the importance of tourism for Serbia and its share in the economy of our country."
