Massive fire in Istanbul’s Başakşehir blazing for third day
A massive fire that broke out on the rooftop of a six-story building hosting several businesses in Istanbul's Başakşehir İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone continues for a third day as firefighters struggle to douse the blaze.
The firefighting teams have been tirelessly working to tame the fire that started on June 10 at around 4 p.m.

A new email threatening to plant bombs in the capital's school buildings was sent just after 8 a.m. this morning, bTV reported.
According to the information, among the threatened schools is 35 SEU "Dobri Voynikov", which was checked by the police, without finding anything worrisome.

Bulgarian Author Georgi Gospodinov Won the "Booker" Prize for "Time Shelter”
The novel "Time Shelter" by Bulgarian author Georgi Gospodinov won the most prestigious international award given for a specific work - "Booker". The prize was awarded at a ceremony in the British capital, London.
Gospodinov became the first Bulgarian writer with this award. The English translation was made by Angela Rodel.
Author Veno Taufer dies
Veno Taufer, the acclaimed Slovenian author, translator and editor who is credited with starting the Vilenica international literary festival, has died, aged 90.
Taufer, a native of Ljubljana, was many things: a poet, playwright, essayist, literary critic, translator and editor. He chaired PEN Slovenia and PEN International's Writers for Peace committee.

Tsunis visits US pavilion at Thessaloniki book fair
United States Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis visited the American pavilion at the 19th Thessaloniki International Book Fair (TIBF) on Friday.
