The sixth edition of the French Institute's Petit Paris d'Athenes initiative celebrates the great osmosis of cultures in central Athens with the participation of more than 500 artists, creators and thinkers from Greece and other parts of the world.

Investors who put their money into Athens hotels surely deserve the title of hero. That is not to say that the Greek capital doesn't have a lot of potential - quite the opposite - but those who have worked hard and continue to do so in order to revive and modernize the city's hotel infrastructure must be feeling very lonely.

US tourists have voted with their feet on Greece as a holiday destination in recent years, while stateside companies both with and without links to Greece are revisiting the idea of implementing tourism investments in this country.

Wyndham Grand Athens, the first Wyndham Hotel Group hotel in Greece, is set to open on Karaiskaki Square, in central Athens, on December 1. The 5-star hotel will have 273 rooms, conference halls, a gym, a spa, a restaurant, and a 450 sq. m. roof-garden with a pool and a 360 degree view of the Athens skyline. The hotel wants to inspire guests from all around the world to visit Athens.

The Wyndham Hotel Group has reportedly signed a deal for the long-term lease of a hotel located on Karaiskaki Square in central Athens, sources said. According to the sources, the US hotel chain aims to operate the establishment by early 2017.
