Wang: China to continue to support Serbia in safeguarding its sovereignty

MUNICH - Chinese FM Wang Yi says China will continue to firmly support Serbia in safeguarding its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

Wang said this after a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC).

Chinese-Greek theater festival in Athens

The first Sino-Hellenic International Theater Festival kicked off on Saturday, with Chinese dramas bringing an audio-visual feast to the audiences.

"The festival is an amazing initiative. It is something that of course we fully support from the side of the Greek government," Christos Dimas, Greek Deputy Minister of Culture, told Xinhua at the opening ceremony.

China launches recruitment drive for college graduates

China is launching an annual recruitment of college graduates in large and midsize cities, the official Xinhua news agency said yesterday, as authorities double down on efforts to meet a more ambitious job creation goal this year.

The recruitment drive, hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, will last from yesterday to May 26, Xinhua said.

Search for Tibet avalanche survivors ends, 28 dead

Search and rescue operations after a devastating avalanche that engulfed travellers on a Tibetan highway have ended, Chinese state media reported, with the death toll now at 28.

The snowslide occurred Tuesday evening at the exit of a mountain tunnel in southeastern Tibet, trapping a number of people in their vehicles.
