The businessman from Yambol Dinko Vulev who became popular as the "migrant hunter" is held for 24 hours for beating an employee, reported BTV on Thursday. The victim claims that there was even an attempt of kidnapping. According to initial information Vulev accused the man of stealing from him.

Yazaki Bulgaria To Invest BGN 45.5 M in Cable Plant Near Dimitrovgrad

The Council of Ministers has approved a draft memorandum of understanding with the investor Yazaki Bulgaria EOOD for the construction of a plant for cable equipment of cars near the village of Krepost in the region of Dimitrovgrad, announced the press centre of the government.

The plant will produce electric installations for Mercedes class A and V cars.

Bulgaria's Yambol Braces for anti-Migrant Protest

A protest is due in the southern Bulgarian town of Yambol on Saturday over the accommodation of migrants in the area, public broadcaster BNR reports.

A torch-lit rally will be held over plans to set up a temporary center in the nearby village of Boyanovo between 18:00 and 21:00 local time (EET), the radio quotes Krasimira Koleva, one of the organizers, as saying.

Protest Held in Bulgarian Village over Migrant Center Plans

Several hundred people have demonstrated against government plans to accommodate migrats near the village of Boyanovo, Southern Bulgaria.

Officials intend on using the premises of the old barracks near the village to make room for arriving migrants, as the operated by the State Agency for Refugees have run out of free beds.

Three People Detained for People Trafficking in International Operation

Three people have been detained for traffic of people for the purpose of sexual exploitation during an international operation carried out in Holland and Bulgaria, reported the Interior Ministry.

The operation in Bulgaria took place in Yambol and Sliven. Two people were detained and the third one was arrested in Holland.

Bulgarian Police Detain 17 Irregular Migrants near Yambol

Bulgarian police have found 17 irregular migrants in an abandoned building near the city of Yambol, in the country's southeast, private Darik radio station reported on Saturday.

The migrants - eight men, three women and six children - claimed they were of Afghan origin. None of them carried identity documents.

Bulgaria Warns of Intensive Rainfall in Southern Regions on Thursday

Bulgaria's weather service has issued a Code Yellow alert for five of the country's southern and southeastern regions, warning of potentially dangerous rainfall in on Thursday.

Precipitation of 15 to 25 liters over 24 hours has been forecast for the regions of Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Yambol and Burgas.
