EU ready for new budget targets

BoG calls for reduction of corporate tax
Corporate tax must be reduced further, the Bank of Greece advised in its intermediary report released on Friday, noting that, at 28 percent, its current rate in Greece is eight percentage points above the European Union average. The 2020 budget provides for a reduction to 24 percent.

Central bank sees growth of 2.4 pct in 2020, 2.5 pct in 2021
While the Greek economy is not expected to grow more than 1.9 percent this year, the Bank of Greece foresees growth rates of 2.4 and 2.5 percent for 2020 and 2021 respectively, it said in its Interim Report on Monetary Policy, presented to Parliament on Friday.
