Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova urged citizens to take care of their public transport ride in advance, buy tickets or validate their personal transportation cards. Except in the Urban Mobility Centers (UMC)tickets can be purchased in the lottery points and post offices, Fandakova informed in the studio of bTV.

For yet another year, Sofia's Christmas decorations are more than miserable. The municipality relies on private companies to take out the old and unappealing garlands for advertising purposes, so that there is at least some feeling of the brightest holidays ahead. In recent years, nothing has changed - the decoration is banal, tasteless, inconspicuous and the same for years.

The current anti-epidemic measures in Bulgaria will be in force until December 21. All of the 75 baby food kitchens in Sofia are to open on 18 May, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova announced.

"All premises where the food is prepared have been disinfected following all health and sanitary requirements. The kitchen staff has been tested for Covid-19," Mayor Fandakova said.

By order of Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, the Vrana Park-Museum and the Military Academy Park in Bulgaria's capital open for visitors today. The Western Gate of Serdica archaeological park, as well as the garden near the Alexander Battenberg Mausoleum are also opening today.

Part of the newly constructed third subway line will be released in late July or early August. This was announced by Mayor Yordanka Fandakova after an inspection at the Hadzhi Dimitar metro station.

It was decided for all 8 metro stations from Vladimir Vazov Boulevard to Zhitnitsa Street to be put into exploitation.

As of Thursday, May 7, we are restoring the work of the blue and green zone, while at the same time we are beginning to gradually normalize the schedules of urban transport. This was said by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, BGNES reported.
