The third İzmir International Meeting of Mediterranean Cinemas (MEDCINE) will be held between Nov. 8 and 13. Within the scope of the festival, films from 20 Mediterranean countries will be on the screen.

Prague cancels concert by Russian soprano
Prague has cancelled an October concert by Russian soprano Anna Netrebko over her country's invasion of Ukraine, organizers said on Aug. 17.
Netrebko, whose past support for Russian President Vladimir Putin has led to cancellations of several concerts worldwide, was due to perform at Prague's Municipal House on Oct. 16.

Bulgaria: An Exhibition about the War in Ukraine was Vandalized in Sofia
Photos from the war in Ukraine were vandalized in Sofia, "Fotofabrika" director Emmy Barouh told Radio Free Europe Bulgaria. On some of the images of destroyed and injured people is painted with white spray the letter Z, which Russia uses as a symbol of its invasion.
